Worldwide Debt Recovery, Commutations and Collection Services:

We are very successful in recovering monies by collection and/or commutations. We have personally collected from many locations globally and are continuing to develop this expertise. Our strong associations with companies and brokers alike can be called upon to facilitate negotiations in a timely manner and provide our unique service for clients in this difficult and problematic field. By outsourcing to Global Re, our clients have been able to take advantage of our ability to negotiate deals on favourable terms for both inwards and outwards books of business, particularly with the more financially troubled or ‘exotic’ reinsurers. We have also been able to 'open doors' where previous commutation approaches have been unsuccessful.

Broker Replacement Services

Global Re actively works to finalise relationships in all areas of the legacy arena. This is a specialty of Global Re to which our many clients will testify. We will not simply continue to accept fees for broker replacement services on a year on year basis but use our extensive business relationships, contact network and exit solution skills to bring about finality wherever possible and effectively achieve closure of the business within timeframes often greatly reduced to that offered by our peer group.

Our staff has over 200 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance markets gained at various Broking firms and Insurance/Reinsurance companies. This wide variety of experience together with Global Re’s expertise in the finalisation of legacy relationships means we have the resource available to achieve value enhancing outcomes for our clients.

Engagements/Qualifications

We continue to offer flexible broker replacement services for a variety of different client requirements, our current remits include:

• The closure of an LMX book of business placed by a medium sized London broker.
• Ongoing broker services for an American client on one of their major worldwide reinsurance programmes
• Broking and commutation services on the growing portfolio of receivables purchased by our sister company Global Re Finality Solutions

To facilitate these services Global Re has access to a Lloyds broker number, a worldwide network of contacts and relationships and a dedicated IT system for the handling of broker transactions.

• Broker Replacement Services – Access to Lloyd’s Broker Number/  ability to deal principal to principal / transactional processing capability

Claims Audit Services:

Global Re can conduct a full review of the allocation of reinsurance recoveries across all policies of outwards reinsurance in force, on a by underwriting year basis to ensure that the reinsurance asset is used to its maximum and optimum potential.

This will include consideration of such factors as ‘Chronological date of loss settlement’ Loss Warranty values, Reinstatement premium protections as well as a review of the Facultative, Proportional and Excess of Loss policies available.

On an Assumed basis we can offer both a Static and redundant reserve review service to allow our Clients to hold an accurate current assessment of their current liabilities. We can also release Loss Deposit Reserves Retained on closed treaties.
