Global Re expand into Europe

Global Re have now opened a new office in Brussels to handle European matters locally for our clients.  'We have been very fortunate to secure the services of Guy Vanderhulst, a senior figure in the European Market to act exclusively on our behalf in this market,' stated Peter Matthews, Managing Director.  'At the same time we are also developing our Far East operations and are in the process of opening a Tokyo Representative Office'.

Monte Carlo

Global Re have just returned from another successful trip at the Rendez Vous de Septembre.  Unfortunately some of the extra curricular activities didn't quite go to plan.  Mark was unable to sail this year and Peter's Driver broke somewhere between LGW and Nice, so he didn't do as well in the golf as hoped (excuses, excuses) .  However the weather kept fine and most meetings were met even in the hustle and bustle that is the Cafe de Paris.

Peter, a founding member of AirSP (Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Service Providers), has recently been elected as Chairman. 

AirSP promotes the interests of Service Providers in the Insurance and Reinsurance Market.

• The principal benefits of membership are Networking and Marketing.
• Throughout the year a number of social events and presentations are held to bring together members and clients to facilitate networking and work sharing.
• The website advertises all members and their areas of expertise as well as publicising news, announcements and requests for assistance. It also facilitates regular communications thus promoting the Association as a whole and the membership.  All members are entitled to a free entry into our annual directory which is distributed throughout the market.    
• AirSP membership confers discounts on a variety of publications, conferences and products provided by affiliated organisations. 

The Association was founded by Graham Tomaszko in 2003 to provide a forum for service providers, most especially small companies, to enable them to meet up, work together and benefit from a dedicated market body. After 5 years of tireless work on behalf of the Association Graham has decided to step down as Chairman having seen his vision develop and flourish into the successful worldwide organisation it is today.  The Board and members thank Graham for his leadership, guidance and dedication over the past 5 years. The hard work will continue and the original concepts will remain intact.

A new Chairman and deputy Chairman have now been formally elected from the Board of Directors and we are pleased to advise that Peter Matthews of Global Reinsurance Consultants will Chair the Association along with Steve Goate of Reinsurance Solutions as Deputy.
