Global Reinsurance Consultants has opened a New Office in London:

Due to the continuing growth of Global Re’s client base in London, they have opened an office in Leadenhall Street to further enhance the service levels and capabilities offered.

Battle, UK, 5th May 2009 – Global Reinsurance Consultants Ltd (Global Re) today announced that it has opened a London office which will allow the company to deal more efficiently with the business requirements of their clients based in the city. The new office is located at 148 Leadenhall Street.

Peter Matthews, Managing Director of Global Re, said: “Global Re currently has offices in Brussels, The Middle East and Asia, and this was the next move for Global Re to further strengthen our operation. We strive to give our clients the best possible service and therefore felt we needed to be in a location which is central to many of our clients.”

The office in London will be headed by Sharon Sharkey. Sharon has many years experience in the London Reinsurance Market and enhances the Global Re team. Global Re’s Head Office will remain in Battle in the UK.

Peter, a founding member of AirSP (Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Service Providers), has recently been elected as Chairman. 

AirSP promotes the interests of Service Providers in the Insurance and Reinsurance Market.

• The principal benefits of membership are Networking and Marketing.
• Throughout the year a number of social events and presentations are held to bring together members and clients to facilitate networking and work sharing.
• The website advertises all members and their areas of expertise as well as publicising news, announcements and requests for assistance. It also facilitates regular communications thus promoting the Association as a whole and the membership.  All members are entitled to a free entry into our annual directory which is distributed throughout the market.    
• AirSP membership confers discounts on a variety of publications, conferences and products provided by affiliated organisations. 

The Association was founded by Graham Tomaszko in 2003 to provide a forum for service providers, most especially small companies, to enable them to meet up, work together and benefit from a dedicated market body. After 5 years of tireless work on behalf of the Association Graham has decided to step down as Chairman having seen his vision develop and flourish into the successful worldwide organisation it is today.  The Board and members thank Graham for his leadership, guidance and dedication over the past 5 years. The hard work will continue and the original concepts will remain intact.

A new Chairman and deputy Chairman have now been formally elected from the Board of Directors and we are pleased to advise that Peter Matthews of Global Reinsurance Consultants will Chair the Association along with Steve Goate of Reinsurance Solutions as Deputy.
